METATRADER TO MATCHTRAER II TRADE COPIER

User Guide: MetaTrader to MatchTrader II Trade Copier

Quick Notes:

1. This trade copier is an alternative version of 'MT4/MT5 to MatchTrader'.

The copier includes:

- A new set of MT4/MT5 Signal EAs that monitor changes to trades in MetaTrader

- A bridge app that fully emulates the MatchTrader web trader and sends copied trades to the MatchTrader server.

The key differences between this 'II' trade copier and the standard version in the same shared folder are:

- It fully emulates the webtrader by running browser on your computer while the copier is active.  This uses significantly more memory.

- Logging in takes longer because the copier needs to synchronize the entire webtrader environment.

You may choose to use this version if your prop firm has stricter requirements.

Before running this trade copier, make sure your computer is running Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Server 2016 or later, and that Google Chrome is installed.

2. This copier does not support copying pending limit or stop orders.

However, when a limit or stop order is filled in MetaTrader, the copier sends a market order to the destination account.

3. The bridge app automatically attempts to reconnect if MatchTrader is undergoing maintenance or is temporarily unavailable. It also shows the current number of positions in the MatchTrader account in its log panel.

4. This copier supports copying from multiple MT4/MT5 accounts to multiple MatchTrader accounts at the same time.

Each MatchTrader account requires its own browser instance.  Keep this additional memory usage in mind when copying to multiple accounts.

5. Some prop firms that use MatchTrader allow trading on only one account per computer.  If you want to copy trades to multiple accounts with the same prop firm, contact its customer support team to confirm the requirements and use separate computers as required.

========

Set up the MatchTrader bridge app

1. You do not need to open MatchTrader in a separate browser to run the bridge app. We recommend keeping the MatchTrader web trader open so you can monitor the copied trades.

2. Extract MatchBridgeII.zip.

3. Complete the following steps in the extracted folder.

4. Edit the config.ini file in that folder.

license_key=

Enter your license key after license_key=.

For example:

license_key=louis2000+mttofpf@gmail.com

login=

Use the following format:

Your MatchTrader username

Your MatchTrader password

Your MatchTrader account number

Your prop firm's MatchTrader login URL

Separate the values with commas.

For example:

login=louis2025@gmail.com,piITwbserf,56781590,https://manager.maven.markets/login

login=cidy.young@gmail.com,O2pbwruk1,45129056,https://mtr-platform.fundingpips.com/login

To copy to multiple MatchTrader accounts, add a separate login= line for each account.

5. Save config.ini.

6. Start the app.

7. Once the license check is complete, click "Copy Start".

8. Wait for the "Ready to bridge signal" message.

9. If you cannot log in, correct the login details in config.ini and save the file. Click "Copy Start" to reload the configuration.

10. Click "Copy Start" again to pause or resume copying.

======

Install the MT4 or MT5 Signal EA

1. Copy "MT4ToMatchTraderII.ex4" or "MT5ToMatchTraderII.ex5" into the \MQL4\Experts\ or \MQL5\Experts\ folder, respectively.

In MT4 or MT5, go to Tools > Options and enable "Allow DLL imports" in the settings shown below. The EA requires network access for license authentication.

2. For each MatchTrader account, attach a Signal EA to a separate chart. Each EA scans all trades in the MetaTrader account.

Enter your license key and MatchTrader account number.

To copy trades to additional
MatchTrader accounts,

open a separate chart for each account, attach the Signal EA, and enter that MatchTrader account number.

3. To pause the Signal EA, click "Stop Signal" on the EA panel. Click the button again to resume.

The MetaTrader AutoTrading button does not control this Signal EA. Use the button on the EA panel to pause or resume it.

======

The other Signal EA settings are explained below:

- Symbol mapping list

If MatchTrader symbol names differ from those in MetaTrader, use the following format:

Enter the MT4/MT5 symbol, followed by a comma, the MatchTrader symbol, and a semicolon.

If the MT4/MT5 symbol is USTEC and the

MatchTrader symbol is NAS100,

enter:

USTEC,NAS100;

in the "Symbol mapping list" setting.

To add multiple mappings, enter them together in the same field.

For example:

BTCUSD,BITCOIN;XAUUSD,GOLD;

- 'MetaTrader Symbol Prefix To Be Ignored' and 'MetaTrader Symbol Postfix To Be Ignored'

For example, if you enter "en" as the prefix and the MT4/MT5 symbol is enEURUSD, the Signal EA removes "en" and sends EURUSD to MatchTrader.

For example, if you enter ".st" as the postfix and the MT4/MT5 symbol is EURUSD.st, the Signal EA removes ".st" and sends EURUSD to MatchTrader.

- Add Extra Symbol Postfix To MatchTrader

This setting adds the same postfix to every symbol sent to MatchTrader. For example, entering ".PRO" converts EURUSD to EURUSD.PRO and GBPUSD to GBPUSD.PRO, so you do not need to map each symbol separately in "Symbol Mapping List".

- Lot multiplier list

To apply different lot multipliers to specific symbols when copying to MatchTrader, enter mappings such as:

EURUSD,10;XAUUSD,2;

To apply the same multiplier to all trades, simply enter:

10

All MT4/MT5 trade lot sizes will then be multiplied by 10.

- Partial close - Enabled by default (true).

- TP/SL price copying is enabled by default. Disable it if you do not want to copy TP/SL prices to your MatchTrader account.

Even if TP/SL prices are not copied, the copier still sends a close signal to MatchTrader when a MetaTrader trade closes at its TP or SL level.

"No Close Signals If That Dealt Order Has TP/SL Prices" - When enabled, this option prevents the copier from sending MT4/MT5 exit signals to MatchTrader when the trade already has its own TP/SL levels. We recommend leaving this option disabled (false), which is the default.

- Lot mode - The default is "follow MT4/MT5 order lot". The other option is "Fixed Lot". To use it, select this mode and enter a lot size in the "Fixed Lot" setting.

- Order magic number list - Specify which magic numbers to include when copying trades.

Separate multiple magic numbers with commas.

For example: 3413434,1343292

Leave this field blank (the default) to include all trades.

Important:

To copy only trades from your EA, enter its magic number. For example, enter 3421243.

The MT4/MT5 Signal EA will then scan only orders with magic number 3421243.

Manual MT4/MT5 orders have a magic number of 0.

To copy both manual orders and orders from your EA, enter:

0,3421243

Include 0 in the magic number list to copy manual orders.

- Applicable symbol list - Limit copying to specific symbols or instruments. Separate them with commas, for example: EURUSD,XAUUSD,USOIL.

Leave this field blank (the default) to include all symbols.

- Applicable comment list - Limit copying to orders with specific comments. Separate multiple comments with commas.

- Reverse trade - When set to true, this reverses the trade signal sent to MatchTrader.

For example, a LONG trade is copied as a SHORT trade.

The default is false.

- Use the following feature to apply custom control and filtering rules.

If you enable "Enable Hold-Up Feature?" (default: false), the MT4/MT5 Signal EA checks whether the MT4/MT5 global variable named

MTRIIDISABLE

is set to 1. If it is, the Signal EA pauses. If it has any other value or is not set, the Signal EA continues running.

You can write an EA or indicator, or hire a developer to create one, that sets this global variable based on your control or filtering rules.

- Logging

1. Signal EA - Logs appear in real time in MetaTrader's 'Experts' tab.

2. Bridge app - Logs appear in real time in the app's log panel. To save them to a file, add this line to config.ini:

log=on

Save the file and restart the app. The log file is saved in the bridge app's folder.

- Alert Notifications

The Signal EA offers four alert options:

- Popup Alert

- Sound Alert

- Mail Alert

- Mobile Alert

'Popup Alert' is enabled by default.

To receive email or mobile notifications, enable 'Mail Alert' or 'Mobile Alert' and configure MT4/MT5 to send notifications to your email address or the MT4/MT5 mobile app.

For help setting up email or mobile notifications in MT4/MT5, you can ask an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude.

- Notification History

All notification messages are recorded in the MT4/MT5 'Experts' tab, regardless of which alert options are enabled.

You can view recent messages in the 'Experts' tab. To view older logs, right-click in the 'Experts' tab and select 'Open', then open the log file for the date you need.
